Dave Loken grew up in the community of Calder. He now resides in the new Griesbach community with his wife Camille. Dave and Camille are parents to four grown boys. Dave has worked for the City of Edmonton in the Drainage and Transportation departments since 1989 when he was a summer student while in university studying political science. Since 2001, Dave has worked for a coalition of five civic unions who represent 8500 plus city employees. Among his duties is the monitoring of City Council meetings and he lobbies city councillors and the Mayor on issues that are important to city employees. He also acts as a liaison between city employees and managers. Dave is a trained negotiator and he has been trained in conflict resolution as well. Dave is currently completing a Masters Degree in Conflict Analysis and Management (graduate September). He is a consensus builder and he has been involved in many high level decisions. Dave understands the complexities of civic government and the decision making process. Dave is ready to make the jump to be your city councillor and he has the skills and experience to do so. Dave currently sits on the Donate A Ride Committee and on the Fort Edmonton Management Company. He was appointed to both committees by City Council.
